God as Your Creator

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. Genesis 1:1

Have you ever paused to reflect on God as your Creator?

God is unlike any other that is, was, or will be. He alone is able to fully sustain that which He creates. And He alone is able to create—miraculously orchestrating His purposes—merely by speaking it into existence. But there's more…

If you dig even deeper into the pages of Scripture, you learn about this power by which God creates:

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.”John‬ ‭1‬:‭1‬-‭3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“for by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:”Colossians‬ ‭1‬:‭16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The writer of Hebrews assures us that, “Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.”
Hebrews‬ ‭11‬:‭3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

This "Word" is Jesus Christ, and through Him, God brought everything into existence. The ultimate redemption of all God's promises will come through that same Word—Jesus Christ.

Reflect on that truth for a moment: The same power that spoke the universe into existence is the same power that will bring about the redemption of all things promised.

Today, take some time to reflect on God’s role as Creator, and allow it to fill you with great hope. Because He's not just any creator; He's your Creator, and He holds the very universe—and your life—in His hands.

REFLECTION

In the beginning, God was already there. Take a moment to reflect on who He is—the Creator and Sustainer of everything that exists.

SHARE YOUR FAITH

God created you on purpose— to know Him and to make Him known. Today, spend time in His presence and share His message with the world!

PRAYER

God, thank You for being the Creator of all things. You hold the entire world in Your hands, and still care for me. I have hope for today-knowing that You designed me on purpose, and that You're working all things for good. Help me to reflect Your love and power to others. In Jesus' name, Amen.
